When the CoriKari Alcorn family were in town for Erik & Liz' wedding we had our first ever Nana Camp!!! It was a lot of fun. On the first day the kids made "dust bunnies" and went to Yaya's house to dust for their service project. While they were doing that and being entertained by Yaya's stories from when she was a little girl Nana and I got the camp t-shirts made. We used Yaya's Cricut and cut up some vinyl iron-on stuff and made the wee ones matching shirts to wear the next day.
Day 2 consisted of "stupid human tricks" care of the older 3. They had a great time making up songs and dancing to them. Then we went on a nature walk to a park in Silverton and the kids had a great snack provided by Nana. After that we ended the morning at Willamette Valley Fruit Company where we had a yummy lunch and then filled up on great desserts! The adults had shortcake (or pie, for Cori). Keira and Havah each had HUGE cookie sandwiches! Seriously about the size of their faces! We should have had them split one-and I think there STILL would have been plenty left for Scharae and Lilly! Scharae chose to have a smoothie and I believe Lilly shared shortcake with her mama.
All in all, we had a grand time and cannot wait for Nana Camp next year!
