So Excited to make this!

I don't remember if I mentioned it, but I got a new toy in November. I've really only used it once, and just tonight got the chance to sit down and play around with the software to figure out how it sort of works.

I'm getting ready to make magnet dolls for the girls for Christmas! I'm sort of following the tutorial on Make It and Love It. I'm mostly following the idea of using a cookie sheet and making the cover to go over it for storage. Instead of buying paper dolls and sticking them to the magnet paper I bought printable magnet paper and am using my Silhouette (link to their idea blog!). I'll print out the dolls on the magnet paper and then run it through the Silhouette machine and it will cut them all out and everything for me! At least...that's the way it is supposed to work. We'll see how it actually ends up.

Here are a few pictures of what I've got worked up. I'm trying to make them up for both the girls, but will likely put them all together in one cookie sheet since they'll mostly play with them together anyhow.

I just need to get more color ink for my printer tomorrow and I should be able to get it done.  The best part? The girls sort of watched me playing with all this tonight and think that I'm making myself dolls to dress up!

yay! i thought that tutorial was so awesome, i even left a comment on it saying i thought it'd be so cool to modpodge a photo of your girl in, so they're dressing themselves up! i'm so excited to see how yours turn out!

Ok Tiff, I am going to have to give that a try. I have bought one paper doll thing, but I need to buy more if I want it to work with my kids. I hadn't thought about doing it on magnet paper. That is a good idea!
I told you you would have fun with this! :) I am loving mine too!
